Walk for Hope 2026
Please join us as we ‘Walk for Hope’ again this year. We would love your support as we look to partner with CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young), raising money for their ‘AI Cardiac Screening and Research Project’. We encourage you to wear yellow or another bright colour from your wardrobe! If you joined us last year and had a yellow ‘Walk for Hope’ t-shirt, we encourage you to re-use it for this occasion!
What: a flat, family-friendly, pushchair-friendly walk. Why not bring a picnic to enjoy in Bute Park at the end, or enjoy an ice cream from the Cafe.
Where: Meet us at Hailey Park Play Area (adjacent to Andrew’s Road, Llandaff North). The walk will follow the Taff Trail to Bute Park, ending at ‘Tom’s Bench’, near Servini’s Cafe. Street parking is available in the area, although please be considerate of residents.
When: 16th May 2026, 10:30am, to set off at 11:00.
How: Donate to sign up (suggested donation of £10 per adult with one child, £5 per additional child).
Christmas with Cambrensis Choir & Orchestra
Tickets are now on sale for the annual Cambrensis Christmas Concert, this year at the Hoddinott Hall, Wales Millennium Centre on Saturday 13th December.
We are most grateful to the Cambrensis Choir and Orchestra for donating the retiring collection to the Tom Barrow Brugada Trust.

Cardiff Half Marathon 2025
It’s the Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday 5th October and we are chuffed to have not just one… or even two… but THREE amazing runners taking part in aid of the Tom Barrow Brugada Trust!
Geoff Cooke, Bronwen Kate Watkins and Gethin Russell-Jones are our fantastic team of runners taking on the half marathon, and every mile they conquer helps shine a light on Brugada Syndrome, helping to raise awareness and fund research that could save lives.
Gethin says “almost two years ago our son-in-law Tom died very suddenly of a rare, genetic heart condition he didn’t know he had - Brugada Syndrome.
“Through the Trust our aim is to raise both awareness and education about this condition, as well as funding to enable much-needed research.”
Geoff, Bronwen and Gethin are running not just for medals, but for Tom’s legacy - for hope, families, and a future where more lives are protected. Thank you so much to all those who have already generously donated - let’s all get behind them, cheer them on, and show them that every stride really does make a difference!

brugada walk for hope
Please join us for a family walk to raise money for the Tom Barrow Brugada Trust. Everyone is welcome, everyone is family.
We are hosting a family walk to raise funds for The Tom Barrow Brugada Trust. We will start at 11am at Ysgol Glan Ceubal and finish at Tom’s bench in Bute Park. The walk itself is about 45mins and all are welcome to join us - family or no family, YOU ARE FAMILY! We may take a little longer that 45mins if stops are required, but we are in no rush and everyone is welcome to go at their own pace.
